Frome boxer and promoter Carl Pitman, the undefeated Southern Area Lightweight Champion, has thrown a solid punch for Fair Frome.
Starting with the next boxing event at the Cheese and Grain on Friday 4th September Carl has offered to raise funds for Fair Frome as his chosen charity.
Fight fans will be able to donate to the local charity which runs the Frome Food Bank and other projects, designed to help those in acute need in the town, and campaigns against inequality.
Meeting with Bob Ashford, the Chair of Fair Frome, Carl said, “I am a Frome man and want to not only provide good solid and entertaining sporting events in the town but also to support those in Frome who are struggling to make ends meet.
“I know fight fans will agree with me and dig deep for Fair Frome on the night.”
The event on Friday 4th September is sanctioned by the British Boxing Union.
