A newly engaged couple from Frome are battling the lockdown blues by running four marathons each over the next month to raise money for Bath Cats and Dogs Home.
Alex Entwisle and his fiancee Sami Roach are lacing up their trainers to take on the charity’s Run For Rescue Pets challenge.
Alex works at the home as part of the animal care team and says
“Although I work at Bath Cats and Dogs Home Sami and I wanted to do even more to help.
That’s why we have taken up the challenge and are running 100 miles each over the next month. It’s tough especially in the warm weather, but the home remains in lockdown and whilst our cats and dogs are brilliantly cared for, we still need as much financial help as we can get”
Sami and Alex got engaged in Italy just before lockdown. They are training with their dog Paddy who they adopted from the home.
