Frome Cricket Club will once again be running the Sunday morning All Stars cricket sessions for children aged 5-8 years of age.
The club report, “All Stars is an initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board, providing a great first experience in cricket over 8 weeks of one hour sessions. The emphasis is on fun and being active, with a focus on developing your child’s movement skills in a safe environment.
“Every child that registers will receive a backpack full of goodies including a cricket bat, ball, activity book, personalised shirt and cap all sent straight to your door. Sessions start on Sunday 9th May and run through to Sunday 27th June from 10.30am to 11.30am and the cost is £40.
“Dynamos is a new addition to the youth programme offered at Frome Cricket Club.
“Another ECB initiative, it is for girls aged 8 to 11 years old, either coming out of All Stars Cricket or for those totally new to the sport. Complementing junior cricket, Dynamos develops fundamental movement skills and apply them in an exciting game of countdown cricket using soft balls and light wooden bats.
“The sessions take place on a Monday evening from 6pm to 7pm from Monday 28th June through to Monday 16th August.
“The cost is £40. Each girl registering will receive a New Balance t-shirt, personalised with name and number and a pack of Topps Cricket Attax cards at each session plus exclusive access to a Dynamos Cricket app.
“We look forward to welcoming all of you to Frome Cricket Club where we adhere to the ECB’s Safe Hands policy for safeguarding children and providing cricket in a safe and well managed club environment.”
