Frome Friendship Group hosted the launch of the Frome Dementia Action Alliance (DAA).
The alliance is made up of members from the local community and organisations. The aims of the alliance is to work towards making Frome a dementia-friendly community.
The alliance can offer the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends sessions and deputy mayor cllr Mark Dorrington, handed out certificates to Frome Inner Wheel, Bluebird Care, Active and In Touch, Frome Harris and Harris and the Friendship Group – all who have undertaken the sessions.
Sarah Goff, chair of the Alliance would like to thank Bluebird Care for becoming their sponsor for the coming year and the Inner wheel for their donation of £1,000.
The Frome DAA would like to offer the community the opportunity to undertake the Dementia Friends sessions. These are free of charge and take about 30 to 45 minutes.
