An award-winning estate agent in the town, Forest Marble, has won the British Property Award for Frome for the seventh successive year.
Forest Marble is based in Harris Close, Ellworthy Park and the team is available 24/7, seven days a week, to support customers.
Director Will Parfitt, says that the team performed outstandingly throughout the extensive judging period, which focused on customer service levels.
“The British Property Awards provide agents throughout the UK with an invaluable opportunity to compare the service that they provide against the service provided by their local, regional and national competition,” said Will, who has been selling homes in Frome for 26 years.
“Agents who go that extra mile and provide outstanding levels of customer service are rewarded with an accolade, which acts as a beacon to highlight these attributes to their local marketplace.
“We have now also been shortlisted for a number of national awards which will be announced later in the year.”
Will said that with the recent lowering of mortgage rates, Forest Marble have recently had the busiest day for three years. It follows a difficult time after mortgage rates rose sharply following the mini-budget of former Prime Minister Liz Truss.
“Saturdays are booked out three weeks ahead,” Will told the BBC recently after being interviewed on BBC Points West about the state of the local property market. “When that starts happening, you know the market is heading in the right direction.”
