After the success of the Valentines themed market in February, the stall holders at Frome Farmers’ Market will be donning homemade Easter bonnets for the market on Saturday 8th April.
Falling in the middle of half term, the market held monthly at the Cheese & Grain Hall, will play host to over 20 independent producers selling home grown and handmade food, drink and more from across the South West. Stall holders have been busily creating their bonnets and it will be up to the visiting public to cast their vote for the best one.
If you are looking for lamb and other ingredients for the Easter celebration table then the market is a great place to start. Fresh vegetables from Bromham, lamb and poultry from Hockworthy, beef, pork and more from Charlton Musgrove, honey and cider from South Petherton, rapeseed oil and olive oil to cook your roast potatoes in, cakes, cheeses, drinks, chocolates, fish, preserves, pies and much more. If you’ve never tried it, do go and have a look, talk to producers about what they’re selling and get some inspiration for new recipes.
The market runs from 9am – 1pm in the Cheese & Grain Hall and the Cheese & Grain Café-Bar is also open for hot drinks, snacks and light bites.
