Three hundred events are set to take place at this year’s Frome Festival as it celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The 10-day programme runs from 3rd to 12th July across 58 venues in and around the town, with tickets now on sale.
This year’s silver anniversary programme will feature performances spanning music, comedy, theatre, talks and visual arts.
Among the headline names are Sir Tony Robinson, Irish folk singer Cara Dillon and Sam Lakeman, comedians Phil Ellis and Timmy Mallett, and actor Nigel Planer.
Festival director Adam Laughton said, “As Frome Festival celebrates its 25th birthday this year, we’re delighted to see Frome’s remarkable arts scene reflected in events of all shapes and sizes. With 300 events, including 160 that are free and up to £5 per ticket, in 58 venues across the 10-day programme, there really is something for everyone.”
Other highlights include The Food Feast, the Hidden Gardens trail and the Frome Tunnels Tour, a wildlife parade, alongside the return of The Crysse Morrison Prize for Poetry and an open mic event showcasing local and emerging writers.
Brochures detailing all events are available to pick up from the Cheese and Grain, local libraries, information points and many other locations across Frome and the surrounding area.
