FROME Festival Poetry Cafe is always a fun event, as open mic poets all have a chance to become the Frome Festival Poet Laureate 2019!
The Frome Festival Poetry Cafe will take place on Monday 8th July, 7.30pm – 9.30pm at the Garden Cafe. Organisers say, “Anyone can enter, and this year we’re looking especially for poems on the theme of Frome’s industrial past, as the history of Singers foundry is this year’s festival theme – but any poem is welcome.
“Special guest for this event is Henry Madd, a young poet with a big name on the Spoken Word scene.
“This is a pay-on-the door event, just £5 to join in or to just watch, in the wonderful convivial atmosphere at the Garden Cafe – outdoors if it’s sunny!
“As always, organic snacks and drinks are available throughout the event.
Nevertheless Pub Theatre – Wednesday 10 July 8.00-9.30pm
“Frome’s popular fringe theatre is back, once again with an entertaining intimate production at an affordable price! Where the Fault Lies is a quirky quartet of new short plays written by Crysse Morrison and Rosie Finnegan and performed by Frome Actors Network, upstairs at The Cornerhouse.
“Expect the unexpected – with a dash of wicked humour too… Seating is limited so make sure you get your tickets – just £5 from Cheese&Grain with no booking fee.
