TICKETS for this year’s Frome Festival are selling well after the Cheese and Grain saw long queues form at Sunday’s box office opening.
Tickets went on general sale on Sunday 17th May for Frome’s biggest ever programme of music, comedy, talks, children’s events and much more.
Festival creative director Martin Dimery said, “Ticket sales have been really good over the opening weekend; we’ve had a lot of advance sales and people were queueing up outside on Sunday morning!
“High profile acts The Hoosiers and Romesh Ranganathan are selling very well, and some of the smaller events such as the Frome Tunnels Walk have already sold out.
“A lot of events have sold out in previous years, and we expect most things to be selling right up until the last minute.
“We’re very pleased to have had a big increase in people becoming friends of the festival, which provides the opportunity to buy tickets before the general sale.”
Frome Festival 2015 will run from Friday 3rd July to Sunday 10th July. Full brochures are now available and tickets can be bought from the festival box office at the Cheese and Grain.
This year’s line-up includes huge musical headline performances from Mr Scruff, The Hoosiers, and The Sugarhill Gang. Other highlights include award-winning comedian Romesh Ranganathan, and a Miracle Theatre performance of ‘The Magnificent Three’.
There will be something on offer for everyone at Frome Festival with 36 venues hosting over 200 events including comedy, poetry, talks, puppet shows, dancing, markets and much more.
