FROME in Bloom held the annual presentation of trophies and certificates at Selwood Academy on Saturday 3rd September by kind permission of the school’s headteacher, Dan Jefferies.
Presenting the certificates and trophies, Dan Jefferies was welcomed and thanked by Frome in Bloom chairman, Ray Carver, who also introduced the Mayor of Frome, cllr Sara Butler.
Many people, past competitors and an encouraging number of new entrants received their prizes including children, some under school age.
A spokesperson said, “This was the first major event held by Frome in Bloom for two years because of the Covid-19 pandemic and was highly successful in spite of a lights failure due to a mains fuse breakdown!”
