The Inner Wheel Club of Frome invited 78 members of Inner Wheel Clubs from all over Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset for lunch on Thursday 10th March at Beckington Village Hall.
President Margaret Holmes welcomed everyone and introduced the top table guests, district chairman Linda Quinn and guest speaker Graham Harding.
After a splendid lunch Graham Harding entertained everyone by giving a very interesting insight to how he became an actor and professional musician, starting off as a blue coat at Pontings Holiday Camp. He has also worked as one of the gardeners in ‘Downton Abbey’ and on many films and television shows.
Graham is one of the leading lights in The Woodlanders Music Hall group, and recently took part in the Rotary charity concert ‘For One Night Only’ at the Frome Memorial Theatre.
Following Graham’s talk, Sally White gave a vote of thanks and district chairman Linda thanked the Frome Inner Wheel for a lovely lunch, and President Margaret thanked Yvonne Covill and her committee for organising the event, together with the Rotarians that had served the meal and washed up. Everyone then departed happy.
