The Annual General Meeting of Frome Ladies Club was held on 31st January and presided over by the outgoing chairperson, Rona Wilkins.
Hilary Westlake of Frome Ladies Club said, “The minutes of the AGM from January 2017 were read by Christine Potter and then Rona gave her report on her year as chairperson. It was then the turn of Carol Seward who read the social secretaries’ report detailing the social events of the past year and also the treasurer’s report confirming the club was in a healthy financial state.
“Whilst the new committee was being formed, Brenda Palmer amused the rest of the club with a game of ‘Hoy’ followed by coffee served by the outgoing committee.
The new committee is as follows:- Chairperson -Christine Cornaby, Business Secretary – Jenny Boorer, Treasurer – Sandra Dean, Social Secretaries – Jackie Foxwell and Karen Meates. Speakers – Ann Carsana, Registration – Ann Hayton, Raffle – Abbi Haines and Teas – Ann Davies.
“The next meeting will be held at Christchurch Hall on Wednesday February 28th when a presentation of a cheque for the club’s charity of last year Frome YMCA will be presented to Karen Collins on their behalf. This will be followed by a speaker from The Street Pastors of Bath.”
