A lively, illustrated talk about the legacy of Ancient Egypt by Somerset author, Justin Newland entitled ‘The Mother and Father of All Things,’ will be held at Frome Library, Justice Lane, Frome, BA11 1BE on Saturday 21st September, 11.00am – 12.30pm. Tickets are free and include meet and greet, book signing and sales.
Justin will also reveal how this ancient period of history inspired his debut novel, ‘The Genes of Isis’, an epic fantasy and supernatural thriller played out in the shadows of the Great Pyramid.
Justin writes secret histories in which real events and historical personages are guided and motivated by numinous and supernatural forces.
His second novel is ‘The Old Dragon’s Head’, a historical fantasy set during the Ming Dynasty and played out beneath the Great Wall of China. Set during the Enlightenment, his third novel, ‘The Coronation’, reveals the secret history of perhaps the single most important event of the modern world – The Industrial Revolution. It’s to be published on 28th January 2020.
Justin does book signings and gives author talks in libraries in South West England. He has appeared at literary festivals and regularly gives interviews on BBC local radio and local FM radio stations.
