FROME Lions are holding their popular Ride Kids Ride event this year on Sunday 17th September at The Old Showfield.
Children are invited to go along with their friends and family to see how many laps they can achieve in 30 minutes riding their bicycles, scooters or skateboards.
Lion Mike Geake said, “Just turn up at any time between 12:30pm to 3:30pm. There will be laps in two distances around the show field. A shorter one around the football field suitable for first school age children and a longer one around the whole field (four laps is 5K) suitable for middle school age children.”
For every lap completed participants will receive one ticket for the free raffle, giving them a chance to win a bike and helmet with one year’s maintenance.
Cost of entry is £2 per child and every participant will receive a medal. During the afternoon there will be a BBQ and refreshments will be available including the smoothie bike. Dr Bike will be there to help with any bike related issues and Avon & Somerset Police will be on hand with their free bike marking service.
Parking will be available at Frome Town Football Club or the medical centre.
