Ex Frome Community College student Tristan Williams, aged 20, has successfully commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the British Army on 9th August, after having completed a year’s training at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst.
Tristan was one of the youngest in his intake, and was a member of the Sovereign’s platoon (highest achieving platoon), receiving a congratulatory letter from the Queen and having the honour of leading the parade and escorting the Queens Colours at the Sovereigns Parade.
After the Sovereigns Parade on 9th August where the Queen was represented by The Countess of Wessex, Tristan has taken up his post as a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Welsh. He is currently training in the Brecon Beacons.
