Tickets are selling well for Frome Musical Theatre Company’s annual pantomime, the enchanting fairy tale ‘Sleeping Beauty’.
Sleeping Beauty runs from 29th December to 2nd January at the Memorial Theatre and promises to capture the imagination of audiences over the festive period with musical comedy, magical spells and vibrant costumes.
A Pantomime is quite often a child’s first experience of live theatre making it a very special occasion to be enjoyed by the whole family. Sit back and let the lovable characters take you on a journey following the arrival of the Princess Rose.
As always the show will be packed full of slapstick humour and popular music, which this year includes numbers from Queen, Christina Perry, ‘Matilda the Musical’ and Disney’s ‘Frozen’.
While the company is busy rehearsing they are also celebrating their recent triumph at the Rose Bowl Awards, a major event in the region, celebrating members of amateur theatre.
The company has won the Chris Harris Award for ‘Best Variety/ Review/ Pantomime’ for the production of Robin Hood and the Babes in Wood performed last Christmas.
