The Frome Musical Theatre Company has swept the board at the Somerset Fellowship of Drama awards for their pantomime Cinderella.
Unfortunately most members were unable to attend the glittering event held in Yeovil on Saturday 17th May, as it clashed with the group’s final performance of ‘Hello Dolly!’.
However Tabi Cox and Ben Hardy Phillips did represent the FMTC and were tired out by the end of the evening having had to make so many trips to the stage to pick up no fewer than nine awards.
The full list of winners within FMTC is given below: Best Overall Pantomime for Cinderella. Best Director – Jo Plenty. Best Musicians – David Hynds & Band. Best Choreographer – Sarah Plenty. Best Principal Girl – Beth Iyavoo. Best Overall Performance – Ben Hardy-Phillips. Best ‘Linkman’ – Ben Hardy-Phillips. Best Goody – Teresa Bray. Best Comedy Duo – Andrew Carpenter and Humphrey Barnes
Rehearsals for this year’s panto, ‘Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood’ commence in early September and tickets go on sale soon. With last year’s pantomime being an absolute sell out you are encouraged to get your seats early to see this award winning group’s next production.
