TWO Frome organisations have each been awarded £800 Asda Foundation grants
The two charities to receive the grant that supports small grassroots organisations are The Pod Charity, that supports young people and adults with additional needs and their carers and families; and Frome Seed Library, a group that supports people to collect and share locally grown seeds.
“We are extremely pleased to present Frome Seed Library with an Asda Foundation grant cheque for £800,” says Jackie from the Asda team. “The seed library has started a garden at the side of the library, teaching children how to cultivate, grow and garden. The money will be spent on more gardening equipment. Well done Kerry on doing such a fabulous job!
“Our last grant for this year goes to The Pod Youth Club. This club takes place on a Tuesday night. They will be spending their £800 on arts and crafts goods, sports stuff and snacks for breaktime. Well done The Pod!”
