A Festive Poetry Cafe, will be held at the Garden Cafe on Monday 10th December, starting 7.30pm.
Crysse Morrison said, “Our special guest is popular local poet, Rosie Jackson, who will read some of her poems which have recently won prizes in major competitions – after being awarded 2nd prize in the Torbay Festival of Poetry, Rosie went on to scoop three prizes in the Wells Festival of Literature – including audience choice and overall competition First Prize win.
“There will be an open mic session too, with everyone in the audience invited to share an original poem, with the suggested theme of ‘Light’. This is likely to be a very popular event, so please arrive early – doors are open from 7pm. There’s a cover charge for the venue of £2 payable at the counter, and seasonal drinks and snacks will be available.
