DRIVERS of all ages took part in an all-day competition of radio control car racing recently.
Hosted by Frome Radio Control Car Club, the event took place at the Youth Centre on Vallis Road on Sunday 14th July.
Glenn Smith of the club reports, “The meeting was round four of The Southern Inter Club Challenge 2013. Forty-one drivers of all ages, from schoolboys to the older driver, took part in five different classes, totalling over six hours of racing.
“It went very well, with two local drivers, Jay Millbank and Jamie Carpenter, winning their classes. One of Frome Radio Control Car Club’s junior members, Oliver Smith, won a cup and prize for best improved driver of the day.
“We will be holding more meetings like this in the future but for now, Frome Radio Control Car Club hold a club meeting every Friday evening at the Youth Club, Vallis Road, with racing starting at 7.45pm.
