As the holiday season approaches, many of us prepare to send Christmas cards to loved ones. But this December, the Frome Amnesty Group is inviting locals to add a special card to their list – one that could make a real difference in someone’s life.
On Thursday, 7th December, the Frome Amnesty Group is joining forces with Wesley Methodist Church and hosting a “Write for Rights” stall at the church’s monthly café.
“We’re asking people to send a card to someone whose human rights are being abused and/or to sign a letter to the appropriate authorities,” said Rev Margaret Crawshaw, a member of the Frome Amnesty Group.
“Why not come along between 10am and 12 noon, enjoy a free cuppa and home-made cake, and sign a card or letter? The event is free to attend and any donations for refreshments will go to support Amnesty’s work exposing human rights abuses and campaigning for justice.”
