Frome RFC has announced its new partnership with We Hear You (WHY) Cancer Counselling.
Matt Warnock from the club reports, “We’re thrilled to be supporting their invaluable work and we’re hoping, in a variety of ways, to help enhance their local profile and also generate new funds to safeguard the provision of their vital services.
“Our initial donation of £1,000 was made possible by the generosity of our key sponsors; Andros, Allsop Carpets & Flooring, Andrew Doel Building Installations, Forest Marble, Fortis Property Services, Ingenious Performance, Jewson, Netitude, Nunney Catch Auto Centre, Old Mill Accountants, Renteq, Rodden Road Cars, The Old Bath Arms, The Watson Gym & Twelve Dots and, thanks to Fortis Property Services, we’re also proud to be wearing the WHY logo on our new training gear. We’re excited about the new relationship and determined to make it a successful and enduring one.”
Helen Sprawson-White from the charity said, “We are delighted that Frome Rugby Club have chosen to support We Hear You as a charity partner and are really excited about working with them. The money raised from our partnership will pay for professional, specialist counselling sessions for local children and adults coping with a life-threatening diagnosis or bereavement.
“Each session of counselling we provide comes at a direct cost to us of £44 and we rely entirely on trusts, grants and community fundraising to sustain and develop our service, so we really appreciate the support that the club is offering us both in fundraising and raising awareness.”
