THE Frome RFC Minis and Juniors celebrated the end of the season with their annual presentation day on Saturday 13th May, where players were given awards for their efforts this season.
Mini and Junior chairman, Garrie Webster kicked off proceedings as he welcomed all the parents and families to The Lane and thanked his team of coaches and volunteers for all the hard work they have done throughout the season.
The awards presentation started with the youngest age group, the U6s all through to the U16s. Frome RFC 1st XV Player Henry Bull (who snapped up plenty of awards at the recent senior awards dinner) was on hand to present each player with a medal before each team presented their awards.
Award winners included: U6s player of the season – Chloe; most improved – Ryley. U7s player of the season – Oliver; most improved – Max; players’ player – Oliver. U8s player of the season – Shea; most improved – Reuban; players’ player Zander. U9s player of the season – Riley; most improved – Gabriel; players’ player Beatrice. U10s player of the season – Ben; most improved – Aden; players’ player – David.
U11s player of the season – Oliver; most improved – Leo; players’ player – Ruiari; parents’ player – Layla; trainer of the season – Oliver. U12s player of the season – Ryan; most improved – Harrison; players’ player – Ezra; trainer of the season – Toby. U13s player of the season – Sunny; most improved – Jack; players’ player – Sid. U14s player of the season – Maison; most improved – Patrick; players’ player – Fabian; trainer of the season – Sam. U15s player of the season – Harry; most improved – Aelfric; players’ player – Rufus’ parents’ player – Oscar. U16s player of the season – Henry; most improved – Cole; players’ player – Jake; parents’ player – Dom.
The final award of the afternoon, the Frome RFC Mini and Junior Club Woman of the Season, went to Katie White for her fantastic volunteer work taking photos of all the teams across the club.
Mini and Junior chairman Garrie Webster commented, “It was a great day and fantastic way to end a brilliant season which has seen our membership reach record numbers. I’d like to say congratulations to all the award winners and a big thank you to everyone that makes Frome RFC Mini and Juniors such a special place. It’ll be the last time I host the event as myself and wife Emma step down from our roles, but it’s been a fantastic last five years and we look forward to continuing to cheer from the sidelines next season.”
