FROME Show Choir, Frome’s newest community choir, opened its doors for the first time back in September and organisers said after a superb first term, they are accepting new members in January.
“Each week, we learn songs from across the generations of stage and screen, including well known shows like Les Misérables and Wicked and Broadway gems like Come from Away,” said a spokesperson for the group. “All of it in glorious, harmonised acapella. It’s exciting, fast paced, and seriously good fun!”
Frome Show Choir meet each Monday 7.30pm-9pm at Rise, Whittox Lane. The new term starts Monday 8th January; join for your free taster session by heading to: www.fromeshowchoir.com
Show Choir began in 2017, with the inaugural Bristol group in Southville. “Bristol Show Choir grew in size and reputation over the next few years, with multiple groups added to meet the growing demand,” added the spokesperson.
“We spread Show Choir over to Bath in 2020 and after a hiatus over lockdown, Bath Show Choir blossomed in size and popularity too. Bath Show Choir now features two groups and Bristol five groups and there are multiple other groups across the South West. With over 450 singers across the South West region, we’re incredibly proud to call ourselves one of the biggest show choirs in the UK.”
