This Christmas, Frome Rotary Club are hosting the 23rd annual carol concert and auction evening for CLIC Sargent.
On Monday 7th December The Standerwick Centre will welcome residents to enjoy a festive evening, raising valuable funds for CLIC Sargent – the leading charity for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The carol service, to include seasonal readings, will be conducted by Reverend Ward Jones and Rotarian Hilary Daniel. The carols will be followed by an optional ploughman’s supper and charity auction conducted by Rotarian Dennis Barnard.
Organiser Dennis Barnard said, “Gifts, cakes and wines of every kind will be gratefully received on the night. Collection and proceeds will be donated to the wonderful CLIC Sargent charity.”
The evening has annually raised around £1,000 for young cancer patients, which CLIC Sargent has used to reduce the practical and financial impact of cancer treatment on families.
Hannah Worrall, fund-raising manager for Somerset at CLIC Sargent said, “Thank you to Dennis, Frome Rotary Club and all those that support this wonderfully festive evening! With the help from generous events such as this, CLIC Sargent can move closer to it’s vision of a world where all children and young people with cancer live life to the full.”
