FROME Swimming Club recently held its annual presentation evening welcoming special guests Team GB Olympic gold medallist Callum Jarvis and Head Coach at Bath AS, Chris Alderton.
Swimmers were presented with medals for the Club Championships held in December and special cups were presented to those who have gone above and beyond in the previous year.
The club reports, “Bethan Davis and Gareth Everton were announced as club captains for the coming season, with Mary Doel chosen as Club President.
“Awards presented included The President’s Cup won by Megan Foster, Coaches’ Cup won by Dillon Endicott, Girls’ Style Cup – Alice Warman and Boys’ Style Cup – Joab Madeley.
“The Boys’ Progress Cup was won by Rueben Tarrant, whilst the Girls’ Progress Cup went to Hannah Billing, Volunteers’ Cup was awarded to Amanda Warman and Young Volunteer’s Cup to Finlay and Oliver Saunders and Effort in Challenge Cup to Erin Ross Osbourne.
“The water polo award was given to Alistair Everton. Finally, Emma Davis was presented with a special cup for Courage and Determination in the face of Adversity. A great night was had by all.
