Frome Town Ladies went in search of their second trophy of the season with a trip to Street FC to take on Hamilton LFC in the final of the Chairman’s Cup.
Frome Ladies bossed the game right from the start and Seviour opened the scoring on 5 minutes with a good finish to put Frome on the front foot.
The game proceeded with Frome Ladies piling on the pressure ending the first half 9-0 up with Seviour stamping her authority on the game with a first half hat trick. Congratulations must go to the Hamilton keeper who kept the score line to 9, with numerous saves throughout the opening 45 minutes.
The second half as anticipated followed with Frome battering the spirited Hamilton side who, to their credit, never gave up and the game ended with the score line 18-0. Both teams must be applauded for their great mutual respect and gamesmanship throughout.
Frome goals came from two hat tricks Seviour and Harris, two each for Didymus, Lewer and Petteford and one each for Ratcliffe (a header), Underhill, Perkins, Christmas, Restorick and Brant (left foot screamer).
Goal of the game came from Didymus, a first time volley (cool as you like).
A massive well done to all including Hamilton who never gave up right up to the final whistle.
Next up for Frome Ladies is their last league game of the season against Portishead Reserves away on Wednesday 1st May. Then another cup final, the Somerset junior cup against Weston Mendip on Wednesday 8th May at Wells FC 7.45 kick off.
