A TEENAGER from Frome has been selected to represent Team GB in a trampolining championship in Portugal in July.
Selwood Academy pupil, Izzie Hunt, 13, and her team mate David Knowles from Radstock, are both members of Frome-based Evolution Trampolining and Double Mini Trampoline Club, and will be representing Team GB in the Scalabiscup International Championship, in the double mini tramp discipline.
Izzie said, “I can’t believe I get to represent GB in my first international, I am really excited to go out and do my best.”
Coach Sarah Hunt said, “David has competed several times for GBR, whilst this is Izzie’s debut. Both train in Frome and Warminster and represent Evolution in events all over the country and are in the GB squad who train regularly at Lilleshall National Sport Centre.
“We are incredibly proud of both David and Izzie, they work very hard and it’s great to see their hard work bear fruit.”
