Windows were illuminated all over Frome last weekend as people celebrated the second Frome Window Wanderland.
Nearly 220 residents, shops, businesses, schools and nurseries signed up to take part and create a display in their window. All the windows were then plotted onto a map, creating a fantastic free walking trail for everyone to enjoy on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening.
Organiser Lisa Glass said, “For the second year, Frome has blown us away! The number of people who got involved and the amazing displays they all created was just fantastic. A huge thank you to everyone who signed up and did a window and to all those who came out for a wander to see them. We hope you enjoyed it!
“There were six schools taking part this year, Christ Church School, St John’s School, Vallis School, Trinity School, Hayesdown School and Oakfield School, all of which we ran artist workshops in to help them create their displays. We also ran a window making workshop at Gracewell of Frome residential home where they displayed their own creations too.”
All of this was made possible this year as Frome Window Wanderland successfully pitched for support in the Frome Town Council People’s Budget last year, and it is now pitching again for support for next year’s community event.
