For the first time, a Frome author has written a book under his own name, Colin H Coles, entitled Short Story Verse Commentary, published in May this year.
Colin, who is a member of the Frome Writers’ Collective, has published ten novels and anthologies under the pseudonym, Sam Grant. However, his latest book, a collection of short stories and poems, has been published under his own name, Colin H Coles.
He said, “My books in the past have had a maritime theme and all been published under the name Sam Grant. My new book is a collection of short stories and poems that I have collected from 2019. Some of them are slightly auto-biographical, I have a background of being in the Navy, so some of the stories are still of maritime theme.”
Getting involved in Frome’s writing and publishing groups, Colin said, “I am looking to being at the Small Publishers’ Fair on 8th July at Silk Mill.”
Short Story Verse Commentary can be purchased from local book shop, Hunting Raven, in Cheap Street.
Once a year Colin writes a horror story for the Frome Writers’ Collective and last year published a book called Chilling Encounter.
