Frome youngsters at the Writhlington School Orchid Project are getting set for hosting the National Orchid Show on November 3rd and 4th.
Thirteen year old Otto Johnson explained, “Visitors will be coming from all across the UK to learn about orchids and buy plants from specialist orchid nurseries from across Europe.”
The show will feature displays from most of the UK’s specialist orchid societies, lectures and advice for anyone interested in growing orchids, activities for old and young and a wide range of refreshments.
Naiya Pearson is especially excited to show her Himalayan orchids to the public saying, “We have some of the biggest orchids in Europe and it will be a treat to share them with visitors.”
The show is open from 10am until 4pm and more information is available at www.wsbeorchids.org
