The popular Chocolate Festival returned to Frome for the 10th year and didn’t disappoint with over 2,500 people enjoying the day.
Organisers said, “Visitors came from across the South West to meet the best chocolatiers, craft chocolate makers, cake makers, confectionarys and associated companies such as fine wine purveyors and liqueur producers.
“With fun activities provided by the Frome Children’s Festival, cookery demonstrations and chocolate paring tastings, there was something for everyone. Many of the companies are award winning and you just can’t find their products on the High Street.
“Lipsmacking Festivals’ spokesperson, Jo Harrington said, “The appeal of chocolate is universal, regardless of age or gender, it is loved as that affordable luxury and the perfect place to find Christmas gifts. This year we made it more assessable for everyone but letting all children under 16 in free, we wanted to celebrate 10 years of the festival giving back to our loyal followers.
“We are happy to support our local charity, WHY, who held a fantastic raffle with an amazing selection of gifts from our stallholders. The Frome Children’s Festival brought a great selection of games and crafts for the children and the atmosphere was very bubbly, with happy giggles all day.”
Organisers added, “Looking at the pictures taken by local photographer, David Chedgy, the happiness was infectious and the event brimming with chocolately inspiration!
‘Next year’s festival will be on Sunday 22nd November.”
