THOUSANDS of people in Frome turned out to watch Frome Musical Theatre Company (FMTC) perform their pantomime Cinderella.
In total 4,250 attended the eight shows performed at the Memorial Theatre between 29th December and 4th January with just 38 seats in total across all the shows left empty – ensuring the whole event was a virtual sell-out.
The theatre group who were previously known as Frome Amateur Operatic Society (FOAS) said, “Everyone at FMTC thoroughly enjoyed performing the traditional family pantomime Cinderella and the reception from the audience was fantastic.
“This year’s panto contained the usual array of family fun and entertainment, with an especially modern selection of music, including numbers by One Direction, Olly Murs and Michael Buble.”
Chair of FMTC Andrew Carpenter added, “It was the most successful pantomime in about seven years, the turn-out shows a 99% attendance and we also received an unprecedented amount of emails and comments back to support that.”
