COMMUNITY champions from Frome attended a special Christmas concert hosted last week by HRH The Duchess of Cambridge.

The Duchess’ ‘Together at Christmas’ carol concert celebrated those who have supported their communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Nominated by staff at the Co-op, located on Culverhill, to attend, rep- resentatives from Active & In Touch, Fair Frome, and Edventure Frome, travelled to London last week to attend the concert at Westminster Abbey.
Representing Fair Frome were Lenka Grimes and Rosie Oakley. They said, “It was such an honour to be invited by The Duchess of Cambridge and the Royal Foundation to the ‘Together at Christmas’ carol concert last week at Westminster Abbey. We are grateful to have shared the evening with community champions, charitable organisations and frontline workers from across the country. It was an honour to be part of the guest list, alongside so many people who have worked tirelessly over the last year through challenging circumstances.
“The night reflected on the impact that the Covid- 19 pandemic has had on our services and work. It was a magical night and we are all feeling very Christmassy. Thank you so much to the Co-op for nominating us.” Representing Active & In Touch were Julia di Cas-tiglione and Carol Didymus; and for Edventure Frome were Laura Emptage and Dawn Denton.
Also in attendance at the concert were HRH The Duke of Cambridge, HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi; and HRH The Countess of Wessex.
The ‘Together at Christmas’ carol concert can be seen in full on ITV on Christmas Eve at 7.30pm.
