BBC presenter Simon King opened Frome’s first Children’s Festival on Sunday 27th July.
Enjoying the sunny weather, families turned out to enjoy children’s activities including arts and crafts, story-telling, forest school, wildlife encounters, bike track activities, puppet theatre, magic, performances, beach play, and much more.
There were also musical activities such as a drumming workshop and open mic, as well as live performances from Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin’ Criminals), Electric Soft Parade, and Pee Wee Ellis (saxophonist for James Brown).
Organiser Sue Willis said, “We worked to ensure this was an inclusive event; an event that recognises the needs and interests of all age groups from toddlers to older teenagers. I’d like to thank all those who have given so generously of their time and the organisations that have come on board to help make the Frome Children’s Festival a success.”
