FROME FM is planning a relaunch in April 2018 by adding brand new programmes and broadcasts to support the exciting dynamic town we call Frome.
The town’s one radio station, which has now moved into new studios at Frome Town Hall says, “Frome has been promoted as almost the centre of the cool universe so we need to match and support all the wonderful things that are going on !
“Frome FM is looking for gifted individuals and groups to join Frome FM as part-time member volunteers to work from home, on location, and in the studio to help us create even more exciting radio programmes and broadcasts.
“We need: presenters, sound engineers, public relations executives, studio assistants, programme makers, sports commentators, music journalists, local radio reporters, jingle composers, advertising executives, copywriters, technicians, publicity creators, fund raisers, event co-ordinators, accounts executives, outside broadcast assistants, social media creators, locations managers – to name a few !
“We are happy to talk to all ages, with experience or not, as we will be embarking on a whole series of professional training and coaching sessions to get everyone up to speed.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for people to learn something new, change their lives, add to their CV and actually do something that matters for their community.
“Perhaps you can write music or can compose some new jingles. Maybe you love all the technical side of music mixing and studios or, you just want to be the next Chris Evans or Jimmy Young !!
“If you think you have the F factor, get in touch via email to Jeremy Westcott, director of marketing on hello@frome.fm.
“Send your name, address, contact details and date of birth, along with the sort of things you would be interested in and we will get back to you, to hopefully take things further.”
