Frome’s newest pop up gallery opened on November 27th at 14 Stony Street.
The gallery sells a range of local artists’ and crafts-people’s work and has a highly ethical angle, with all commission from sales going to Positive Action on Cancer (PAC).
The first featured artist, Andrew Burns-Colwill, painted this atmospheric view up Stony Street during the first evening that the gallery was open. He has donated it to PAC to auction. Anyone can bid to buy it and the deadline is 9pm on December 15th. Either pop into the gallery, send an email to fundraising@positiveactiononcancer.co.uk or leave a bid on the Facebook page ‘Positive Action on Cancer.’
As well as the original artwork, The Good Gallery is selling a range of affordable Christmas gifts from jewellery, ceramics, glassware, to sculpture, all made by local artists.
The start-up costs and running for the gallery for six months have been funded by Santander who provided the grant to Positive Action on Cancer to make a difference to the local community. For more information contact Ruth Knagg on 07792 832150.
