Have you got an amazing talent that you’ve been hiding? Can you sing? Can you dance? Well, now is your chance to shine as the Rotary Club of Frome presents Frome’s Got Talent!
Popular TV talent show Britain’s Got Talent stopped off in Frome last year to see what the town had to offer. The judges were very impressed with the amount of talent on show. But if you weren’t able to make it before, now is your chance to showcase your talent.
Open auditions will take place on the stage at the Frome Memorial Theatre on Sunday 24th April in front of three judges and an audience.
After all contestants have performed, the judges will decide which acts go through to the final. During the judges’ deliberations there will be performances by Frome Musical Theatre Company and Danceworks.
The finalists may be invited to perform again or the winners may be announced straight away. Those who impressed the judges and whose talents stood out, will win cash prizes. The afternoon will be compered by well-known comedian and raconteur Ralph Jerram, who will keep the audience entertained between acts.
Norman Elmer of the Frome Musical Theatre Company who is organising the talent contest said, “Do come and see some of Frome’s finest talents and have a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon.”
The theatre will be open to the public and tickets priced at £5 (£3 concessions) are available from the theatre’s box office on 01373 462795 or online at http://www.fmt.website To enter the contest please email elmer@roddenbury.co.uk
If there is sufficient call, pre-show lunches will be available in the Assembly Rooms. Money raised from the event will be donated to Frome Rotary charities.
