A ceilidh (pronounced “kale-eee”) is an uproarious and non-formal gathering, with jigging, reeling whirling and birling.
Frome’s Missing Links are bringing back their immensely popular fundraising ceilidh to the Cheese and Grain on Friday 11th October, doors open 7pm.
Marjory Hatvany said, “I’m really excited to have persuaded The Bigger Little Biggar Band, one of Scotland’s finest ceilidh collectives, to come all the way down to Frome from my old Scottish home town of Biggar, especially for this event.”
There is no need to have any previous experience, as all the dances will be explained as they go along. Traditional tunes meet a modern bass section for widespread appeal, and an electric atmosphere is guaranteed. Tickets are £15, and additional supper tickets from Lungi Baba & Azeema’s supper club are available to complement the evening for £6. Frome’s Missing Links promise a truly authentic Celtic experience!
