Vallis Farm is inviting people to its Summer Fete on Saturday 18th July for a day of food, games and activities celebrating the best of summer on the farm.
Taking place throughout the day, the fete will feature local food, traditional games, stalls and plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
There will be a range of classic fete activities with a Vallis Farm twist. As well as hoopla, a treasure hunt and welly wang, visitors can have a go at Hook a Sheep, Splat the Tomato and a Courgette Shy. There will also be flower crown making and a guided medicine walk with Vallis residents herbalists Radix Herbal Hub.
Adults aged 16 and over will have the chance to experience Vallis Farm’s wild swimming pond and wood-fired sauna, which are normally reserved for members. Swim and sauna sessions can be booked in advance, with eight spaces available every hour between 10am and 2pm.
Food will include locally sourced burgers and sausages from Meadowsweet Farming, plenty of homemade cakes, tea and coffee, Vallis Farm elderflower cordial and Brickell’s Ice Cream. The farm bar will also be open throughout the day.
Vicky Hunter-Frigerio, from Vallis Farm, said, “Our Vallis Summer Fete is a chance for people to enjoy a day at the farm. Whether you’re coming for the food, to have a go at the games or to spend time outdoors with family and friends, we’d love to welcome you.”
The Summer Fete takes place on Saturday 18th July at Vallis Farm. While many activities are free, some have a small charge, so visitors are encouraged to bring cash. Wild swimming and sauna sessions should be booked in advance. Locals are encouraged to walk to the farm via the stunning East Mendip Way.
