At just 21 Emily Powell is the inspiration and driving force behind a new and exciting chocolate emporium, which is opening in Frome.
Emily’s love of all things chocolate and fusing various other ingredients with chocolate to create unique flavours, gave her the inspiration to open her first shop – and so the idea of Choc et al was born.
Working closely with her parents Sheena and Simon, Emily has created this fabulous independent family run business with a desire to share their passion of local ethically produced products. Emily strongly feels that the bustling streets of Frome with its buzzing community spirit is the perfect place to start sharing her chocolate journey.
Choc et al will be a fun and interactive shop filled to the brim with a huge range of delectable chocolate, including vegan and gluten free options, with the opportunity to learn more about the ‘Bean to Bar’ process. Not only is the chocolate produced using fine ingredients, it is made with love and enthusiasm by local chocolatiers. Emily and her team are excited to be serving their own unique range of Choc et al soft ice creams, thick shakes and hot chocolate for you to enjoy in store or to take away.
Emily will also be hand crafting chocolate in her very own ‘Chocolate Lab’, with a viewing window for you to see just how it’s done! The fun doesn’t stop there though, the team will soon be running interactive chocolate workshops where you will have the opportunity to learn the process of chocolate making, as well as creating your very own chocolate masterpieces to indulge in!
Choc et al are delighted to announce that former Bath and England rugby union player, Victor Ubogu, will be kicking off the opening of their fabulous new shop at 20 Cheap Street, Frome on Saturday 20th July at 12 noon.
Emily said, “We would love to see you, so please do come and say Hi!”
