THE Ladies’ section of Orchardleigh Golf Club presented a cheque for £928 to Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance last month.
“Sonia Probert who has been Lady Captain at the club since the beginning of 2020 has organised many events and competitions throughout her captaincy raising a substantial amount for the charity,” reports Sarah Doble on behalf of the Ladies’ section. “A further sum of £1,295 was sent to Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance in May 2021 to cover funds raised in 2020.
“Ken Hutton the representative from Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance who is a member at Orchardleigh, said the charity is very grateful for the sums raised on their behalf. It has been a difficult two years with many events having to be cancelled due to the pandemic, so to raise these amounts has been a great achievement.”
