AN ART gallery on Stony Street is now selling gift vouchers to give as presents to art lovers, whilst raising money for a local counselling charity.
The Good Gallery, run by cancer counselling charity We Hear You, will now sell vouchers to be used to buy pieces from its exhibitions and shop.
We Hear You director Melissa Hillier says, “With thoughts turning to Christmas The Good Gallery is lighting up its window with some fantastic new gift ideas, with many original pieces, so what better way to show someone you care at Christmastime, support local artists and a local cancer charity!
“The gallery’s new feature artist for November is Sarah Clarke. Sarah specialises in colourful paint and print work, taking inspiration from the structure, line and decoration of buildings. Her work is produced using a combination of acrylic, monoprint and collage. The Good Gallery features a selection of her eye-catching work.
“However if choosing that special gift is too difficult, or you want someone to come and look for themselves, then we are now offering gift vouchers which can be purchased from £10 upwards. These can be used within the shop on any items.”
The gallery is also looking for new volunteers.
Melissa said, “We would love to hear from anyone who might like to donate some of their time to help staff at The Good Gallery. Saturdays are often our busiest day and we are looking for volunteers to help in the shop on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
“If you could spare one day per month (or more!) we would love to hear from you.”
