There’s a lot going on at the Merlin this half-term break and it needn’t break the bank.
Here are four very different ways to amuse the kids. For the very youngest (three and up), on Tuesday 17th February at both 11.00am and 2.00pm, Big Wooden Horse presents ‘Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!’, a lively show for children three and up, full of fun, feathers, laughter and excitement, featuring original music and lots of audience participation. Tickets are £8 adults, £5 children, Running time: 50 mins (no interval).
There’s an encore screening of the National Theatre’s stage adaptation of R L Stevenson’s tale of pirates and adventure, ‘Treasure Island’, on Wednesday 18th February at 3.00pm: a great introduction to theatre for audiences aged 10 plus. Tickets are £15 and £10, running time two and a half hours.
Or sing along to Walt Disney Pictures’ latest animation in a Frozen Sing-a-Long on Thursday 19th February at 3.00pm. The film is Cert PG, running time is 102 minutes and all tickets are £5. Now’s your chance to sing along to all your favourite ‘Frozen’ songs with Elsa and Anna, Kristoff and Sven!
If you’re looking for more active participation, why not join Tri.Art Theatre School and Dance Academy in their Play-in-a-day workshop on Friday 20th February from 9.30am-3.30pm. This event is aimed at children seven to 12 years and costs £15 per child.
