Founder of the popular blog Somerset cool, Jenna Myles, and a team, held a non-stop 24 hour radio show on Frome FM over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The ‘coolathon’ raised funds to help Somerset & Dorset Animal Rescue save dogs from the meat trade and Lurcher SOS, to save abandoned and neglected sighthounds. Their £2,000 target has almost been reached and that’s not all. They’ve teamed up with award-winning Somerset cake artist, Zoe Burmester, of Channel 4’s Extreme Cake Makers, to add a tasty prize to this appeal.
Zoe will make one of her cake sculptures for the winner of an online auction and it could be you! The edible art will be of the winning bidder’s pet or favourite animal, plus you’ll get the chance to be part of the TV show ‘Extreme Cake Makers.’ The programme will cover the Somerset cool fundraiser story and follow Zoe as she creates this unique sculpture. Somerset cool have a special follow up radio show on FromeFM on June 15th 5-6pm, when Zoe will present the cake to the winner for the first time.
All proceeds go directly to help the animals, so to check out the auction, go to www.jumblebee.co.uk/ fromefm
