Frome Town Council is working on their strategy document which they do once every four years, in line with the election of the new councillors.
The vision and aims of this document inform the annual work programme and budget and provide a reference on the overall ethos and goals of the council to guide councillors, staff, outside organisations and members of the public.
Residents are invited to the council meeting this week, 17th July at the Town Hall at 7.00pm to come and have their say.
Leader of the council cllr Rich Ackroyd said, “The current strategy document runs from 2016-2020. Over the next few months, councillors and staff will work together to create the Frome Town Council Strategy for 2020-2024. Welcoming the views and participation of Frome residents remains at the core of our ethos. With this in mind, we are inviting Frome residents to discuss what they feel is most important to the community in the next four years.”
Frome Town Council will be asking three questions throughout the town this summer and online:
• What is your favourite thing about living in Frome and why?
• What one thing would you like to see happen in your neighbourhood?
• How would you spend £10,000 to improve the lives of the people of Frome?
The discussions and comments gathered from this exercise will form part of the initial planning stage for the 2020-2024 strategy. If you can’t make the meeting you can still participate by using the form on the website at www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/have-your-say-2019/
