Concert-goers can look forward to a huge variety of music from classical to present-day film themes in Frome’s Symphony Orchestra 2024 to 2025 season.
The season kicks off on Sunday 24th November, at 7.30pm in Holy Trinity Church. The performance will feature soprano Esther Mallett in Strauss’s Four Last Songs and Mahler’s 5th Symphony, conducted by Mark Gateshill.
“The concert offers an evening of richly textured music, blending the reflective songs with the grandeur of the symphony,” explained one of the organisers Tracey Edis.
“On Sunday 8th December, there will be a festive opportunity to hear a live performance of The Snowman with a showing of the animated classic film. Further concerts will take place on Saturday 8th February (Beethoven, Ravel and Weber), Sunday 30th March (film and TV music in the Cheese and Grain) and at Frome Festival in July.”
