SUPERHEROES will be on hand to meet and greet local people this Sunday 27th March as they form a plan to fight evil at the Westway Cinema.
Batman, Iron Man, Spiderman, Deadpool, Supergirl and Wonder Woman will be among the heroes visiting the cinema to meet with local families and pose for photos in genuine cosplay costumes.
And there will also be a replica Batmobile and a Transformers police car for superhero fans to explore.
Frome company Norte Promotions, which will be holding a Cosplay Cabaret at the cinema that evening, is inviting people to come along to meet the comic book heroes from 6pm to 8pm. Tickets cost £3 per child, and adults with children go free. Individual adult tickets are £3.
Later in the evening there will be an adult cabaret show featuring performances from Catwoman, Supergirl and Wonder Woman. Tickets for the cabaret are £15 per person and can be bought from the cinema or on Facebook.
Organiser Russ Ellingham said, “This is a really unique event and I don’t know of another one like it in the world. My partner is a burlesque dancer and I’m a comic book nerd, so we thought why not put together the two things we love. We held a similar event at the Cheese and Grain and it was really well received.”
People are invited to dress up and there will be a prize for the best dressed.
