FROME Town Council is due to host a free information session about organising a street party, for anyone interested in having fun in their street this summer.
The council’s community project officer Hannah Stopford, said, “With street party season just around the corner, they’re a great way to connect with your neighbours and inject a bit of fun into your street.
“If you’re planning one for the first time it can feel a bit daunting to get started, but it needn’t be. Frome Town Council is hosting this free session on Tuesday 18th April at Frome Town Hall from 7pm to 8pm. The session is an ideal opportunity to get some advice and discover resources available, plus hear from people who have had first-hand experience of running events like this.
“We’ll cover road closures which can take up to 12 weeks in some circumstances, event management plans, activity ideas, available resources and how to get everyone involved. There’ll also be time for some Q&A’s so make sure you bring all your questions.”
