FOR anyone inspired by the recent Kindness Festival, the team at The Good Heart is inviting you to come together with like-minded people on Wednesday evenings during May, to explore the topic more deeply – the potential of kindness to bring about change, the science behind it, and how we can all develop our personal capacity for kindness.
The series of five workshops will look at how kindness nurtures positive qualities such as self-acceptance, clarity and confidence, and can act as an antidote to difficulties such as anxiety, confusion and loneliness. There will be a mixture of simple meditation, stories, poetry, discussion, tea and biscuits, plus a range of practical exercises and strategies that can be immediately put to use in daily life.
They will be led by Martha Oster and Alison Murdoch, who are both board members and volunteers at The Good Heart and between them, have over 50 years’ experience of facilitating and leading classes.
The workshops will take place from 7pm to 8.30pm on 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th May in the warm, friendly environment of The Good Heart in Palmer Street. For more information or to book a place visit www.thegoodheart.uk. Bursary places are available for anyone who needs them.
